There was a time when she was only turning 4. Time is flying by too fast for me and the kiddos I used to babysit. These kids are turning into mini adults and I just cant handle it!! Lavender lives down the road from me and has always been this spunky, tall, blonde haired wild and crazy girl who seriously runs the show. She's not 4 anymore. When I realized that she was turning 8, I remembered that I'm not 15 anymore and that we're all getting older. Every girl loves to pose, model, and put a little drama in her portrait, much like Lavender. I caught the real her. The genuine 8 year old who loves her parents, rules the nest with her younger brothers, and is a light hearted cheeky kid. I photograph people and things because we need to remember the times our personalities were the way they were. We will change, but change into even better versions of our true selves.
Check out Lavender as she turns 8, is baptized, and continues to evolve into the wonderful addition to the world that she is.
Ps- One of my all time favorite photographers is Sally Mann. I definitely channeled her in a few of these photos. Guess which ones!!
I don't think I will ever tire of having a bouquet or any type of floral arrangement at a shoot. It adds the perfect touch, always. In my opinion, you don't need to be getting married to have some fresh florals at your shoot. Anyone and everyone should have them at their shoot because they add the best pop of color any photographer could ever dream of.
Luckily, I live around the best people in Rexburg and have gotten the chance to have so many floral friends that want to collaborate with me. Specifically, Mauloa Florals. Ali is a dream when it comes the flowers and plants. While we both happened to be in Washington, I snagged a dreamy bouquet from Ali that she completely foraged. Pay close attention to this dogwood people, it makes the whole arrangement.
Enjoy my lovely model take in every bit of this bouquet.
